Οι κατακλίσεις είναι ένα φαινόμενο που λαμβάνει τεράστιες διαστάσεις στα νοσοκομεία ολόκληρης της χώρας λόγω της τεράστια έλλειψης νοσηλευτικού προσωπικού και του τεραστίου κόστους θεραπείας τους. Οι ασθενείς γεμίζουν με κατακλίσεις εξαιτίας της πλημμελούς φροντίδας και της αδυναμίας του σύγχρονου υγειονομικού συστήματος να ανταπεξέλθει στην αποκατάστασή τους, γι' αυτό καλύτερα θα ήταν να προλαμβάνονται οι κατακλίσεις όσο αυτό είναι δυνατό και να τις προλαβαίνουμε, και αυτό μπορεί να γίνει από ένα έμπειρο νοσηλευτή ο οποίος μπορεί έγκαιρα να διαγνώσει πότε ο ασθενείς κινδυνεύει από κατακλίσεις, και να επέμβει σε αρχικό στάδιο να τις αποκαταστήσει με το χαμηλότερο δυνατό κόστος τόσο για τους συγγενείς όσο και για τα νοσοκομεία.
Τί είναι η κατάκλιση;
Κατάκλιση είναι η λύση της συνεχείας του δέρματος σε σημεία του σώματος που πιέζονται ιδιαίτερα, σε κατακεκλιμένους ασθενείς, ασθενείς που βρίσκονται όλη την ημέρα στο κρεβάτι για πολύ μεγάλο χρονικό διάστημα, π.χ τετραπληγικούς, ορθοπεδικούς ασθενείς με κατάγματα, σε βαριά περιστατικά.
Παρουσιάζεται ισχαιμία στην περιοχή δηλαδή οι ιστοί δεν αιματώνονται όσο θα έπρεπε και έχουν σαν αποτέλεσμα την ελλιπή τροφοδοσία των ιστών από οξυγόνο και άλλα συστατικά απαραίτητα για τη σωστή λειτουργία τους με αποτέλεσμα την νέκρωσή τους.
Οι κατακλίσεις ξεκινούν:
- από απλό κοκκίνισμα
- κατόπιν μικρή λύση της επιδερμίδας
- κατόπιν αρχίζει να παίρνει βάθος
- και πιό βαριά κατάκλιση, γίνεται ένα μεγάλο σπήλαιο.
Οι κατακλίσεις δείχνουν πόση φροντίδα δέχεται ένα άτομο στο χώρο που ζεί. Έν άτομο χωρίς φροντίδα εμφανίζεται με πολλές κατακλίσεις σε όλο του το σώμα. Αν κάποιος δεν έχει την ποιότητα φροντίδας που χρειάζεται οι κατακλίσεις γίνονται σπηλαιώδεις και οδηγούν στο θάνατο.
